Frequently Asked Questions

How do I register for this Marriage Enrichment Cruise?
Call our group travel agent Jill Allenbaugh at CruiseOne Travel Agency, 321-777-8850 or 800-957-8850 to register.
How much time will we be spending on “Marriage Enrichment” activities?
Click here for a schedule of Marriage Enrichment events.  Each day is a little different, and some of the activities are “optional,” but on DVD sessions will last 1 - 3 hours a day.  That leaves you plenty of time to savor time alone and to enjoy the various port and on board activities.
Do I have to attend all the sessions?
In order to get the most marriage enrichment out of this cruise, we strongly suggest that you attend all 4 sessions.
Will my spouse and I have time to go on excursions or participate in activities on board?
Absolutely.  We’ve carefully laid out the schedule in an attempt to allow you ample opportunity for alone time with your spouse on this getaway, and so you can participate in other cruise activities.

Will there be another local marriage retreat later this year?

No, there will not be another overnight retreat this year.
What are the benefits of booking as part of a group?
There are a number of benefits.  Jill (our group agent) will help you select the precise deck and cabin type that you prefer.
In addition, when you book as part of our Coastline group, you’ll receive a “welcome aboard” gift in your cabin, PLUS, if you register before April 30th you'll receive a $50.00 of onboard credit per cabin to spend however you like on the ship (gift shops, specialty services, etc.)  You can even choose to use your onboard credit to cover a portion of your tips, and reduce the cost of your registration (ask Jeanne for details).
If you qualify for some sort of special discount (like military or fire department, for example), you can still get that discount when you register as part of the group.
Also, for every 15 people who register, our group receives one free registration.  This savings will be distributed evenly among all members of our group in the form of cash reimbursement after the cruise.
One final perk: as a group member, you are guaranteed the opportunity to sit with the group in the main dining room for our four evening meals.
Can I book my own cruise on-line or through my own agent?
No. To participate in all of the Marriage Enrichment activities,  it's important that you make your reservations through Jeanne as part of Coastline's group.  You won't find better prices anywhere else; in fact you would only miss out on our group perks, like the “welcome aboard” gift that will greet you in your cabin and the $50.00 of on board credit.  See the "What are the benefits of booking as part of the group" question above for additional details on group savings.
I did some research on my own.  Why do the prices seem lower on Royal Caribbean’s website?
The prices you see on most travel websites (including Royal’s) are not “out the door” prices.  The price quotes on MEM’s Marriage Cruise brochure and webpage include all taxes and fees; whereas most advertisers leave at least one of these categories out.  If you register as part of Coastline’s group befoer April 30th you’ll receive an on board credit of $50.00 per cabin, which you can apply to your tips and reduce your registration cost if you wish.
Can I get additional discounts if they're offered, even though I am booking with the group?
Yes.  Just be sure to tell the Jeanne about your eligibility.  If the cruise line is offering a discount for something you qualify for, like military, EMT, fire department, senior citizen, etc.,  then she can get that discount for you.
We can’t afford to go on the cruise, are there scholarships available?
No.  Though Coastline will be covering the “enrichment” aspects of the cruise, like the purchase of curriculum, workbooks and pens, the church is not offsetting the cost of cruise registration, and no scholarships are being offered for this event.
Are there any hidden costs?
The only additional costs are crusie gratuities of $48.00 per person.  Otherwise the price quotes on MEM’s Marriage Cruise flyer and webpage include all taxes and fees, and Coastline is NOT charging any sort of conference fee to register for this cruise event.  In fact, when you register before April 30th, you’ll even receive an on board cabin credit of $50.00!  You can literally cruise without spending another penny, unless of course you choose to do or buy something extra like souvenirs or excursions.
Can I attend if Coastline Community Church is not my home church?
Yes.  We encourage participation by any married couple who wants to spend some focused time away nuturing their marriage relationship with a Biblical focus.
Is this cruise just for married couples?
Yes.
When precisely does the cruise begin and end?
Boarding takes place between 1 and 3 pm on November 10th, and the ship is scheduled to depart at 4:00.  The ship returns to Port Canaveral on Friday morning, November 14th, and passengers begin disembarking at 8 am.
I’m on a specialized diet.  Can the ship accommodate that?
Definitely.  If you have never been on a cruise before you’ll be amazed at the wide variety of food options available, some of them 24 hours a day.  There is indeed something (and lots of it) for everyone.
Is parking available?
Yes.  There are several options for parking available.  There is onsite parking at $15.00 per day as well as independent, offsite locations that cost less.  Most offsite locations include shuttle service to the cruise terminal.  Just Google “Port Canaveral cruise parking” and you’ll see several options.  Coastline does not specifically endorse any of these locations.  Keep in mind that the ship departs locally (Port Canaveral) so you may be able to simply ask a friend or family member to drop you off and pick you up.
Do I need a passport to go on this cruise?
Royal Caribbean Int’l. recommends that its guests always travel with a passport that is valid for at least 6 months beyond the end of the cruise.  However, because this is a Caribbean cruise that begins  and ends  at the same port in the United States (Port Canaveral), any  United States citizen can use a government-issued picture ID (i.e. driver's license) AND a government-issued birth certificate or original Naturalization Certificate in place of a valid passport.
